Showtime: You have 10 minutes (flat) to show your works You can play the piano, guitar, CD, Video, A Capella (can play a RECORDED work, then describe-share)Can be instrumental (less preferred, since it is SONGwriter)
Can share LYRICS only, why hows
Musicals mainly, but can be other genreCan give out SONGSHEET (about 60 people), with your CONTACT details You can do 1x to a medley of songs - just do it in 10 mins flat You can perform the works yourself or invite your friends to perform for you (encourage you to ask your friends to perform) Do give time to explain your work (why, how, when performed) - don't just perform; tell them more about yourself Songwriters can look forward to the following VBs (Value & Benefits): - Networking with other songwriters
- Attracting other performers (performers in the audience can SELECT your songs to sing later on)
- Critiquing of your work
- Recognition from peers
- May be selected for demo level recording or Videoclip (MTL sponsored) - so you can DEMO to Song Publishers and Record Companies
- We will be inviting song publishers to attend this and other MTLSSC events; you can impress them.
- Singers can come and "select" songs to sing for their work.
